Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar T 1.5/50mm is standard lens with a single layer of enlightenment for rangefinder Contax I - Contax III and Leica cameras with L39 mount, manufactured at the factory Carl Zeiss Jena in Dresden. Designed in 1932 by Ludwig Bertele (Ludwig Bertele). The actual focal length of the lens - 52,54mm.

After World War II a lot of trophy lens blocks CZJ 50 / 1.5 were exported from Germany to the Soviet Union by way of reparations (were taken as descriptions of the technologies and equipment of the company Schott, as well as various construction materials, including optical glass). G lass is clean from major scratches. Coating of the front and rear elements has significant wear (shown on the photos). There is some bubbles in glass which is absolutely normal for old German glass and it has no affect on the photos. Body is in good shape. Lens barrel has no dents and accept light-filter well.

No dust, no haze, no fungus or oil inside. The diaphragm moves nicely at every aperture position.

The diaphragm-control ring turns smoothly and accurate. The focusing turns smoothly and precise. I can send more detailed photos - just ask.

Lens was tested with Sony-A7 digital camera and still gives great photos even at f/1.5 considering the fact it was made 77 years ago (last photo made with f/1.5). Front and Rear lens caps.

Otherwise I can't guarantee availability of the item. Item are carefully packed usually with bubble wrap in carton boxes.
