JUPITER-9 2/85 Russian Soviet USSR Lens M39 - Based on Ziess Sonnar. "T" letter on some of the Zeiss lenses.

Serial number: 5905343 - Made in USSR by LZOS in 1959! Tested with Sony Alpha - Pictures are Sharp and Contrast - AMAZING BOKEH! You will be very happy with this lens! I tested many Jupiter-9 lenses in my life and I can say so. This is one from the best Jupiter-9 lenses by sharpness and contrast from all others Jupiter-9 lenses. There are bubbles on optical elements (see photos). That won't effect image quality. Bubbles in glass like this gives hope that to make this lens used old stock good quality glass elements.

Absolutely all Jupiter-9 1950's have bubbles "in" and/or "on" optical element(s) glass. If you do not see bubbles - it is not original glass from the 1950's. The Lens is in Perfect Condition for its age - Really GREAT for 1959! Glass is clean and clear, no dust inside, no fungus. The iris blades is free of oil (it is very important for all lenses - the blades must be free of oil).

The diaphragm-control ring turns smoothly and accurate. The focusing is smooth and precise. There isn't any oxidation on body of the lens. The iris blades must be absolutely free of oil, not acceptable even a little oil because this - "a little oil" will be on glass inside of a lens on a sunny day. Comes with TOP Quality Metal Front and Rear Lens Caps. Will fit to Fed, Zorki, Leica and many other 35mm MF (Manual Focus) Rangefinder film cameras with a M39 screw mount. Also for digital cameras with micro 4/3 system and other with working distance 28.8mm and are less, with the use of adapters.
