Leica 50mm (5CM) F/2 Summicron Collapsible Chrome M Mount Lens with Leitz case! Bought it from someone who kept it in the attic for years in Florida, had a lot of fungus and haze, so I had the lens CLA'd and it came back looking better-- but the coating on the inside front element was damaged. The notes I recieved from Youxin Ye were. Summicron 50/2.0 lens - CLA'd, cleaned and lubricated focus helical.

This lens helical is made of lead, create a lot drag when focus. It was due to Leica's not too long after the war with material shortage problem.

The focus was quite hard to move. I did cleaning and lubrication, also lapping to the threads. It is a lot better than used to be, at close range, still drags a little but much better than used to be. This is the best I can do. Cleaned and lubricated aperture ring.

Cleaned aperture blades removed oil on blades. Cleaned optics removed haze inside. Lens is clean and clear now consider its age. Tested the lens with digital M body, lens is in focus and produce good images. He says clean and clear for its age, but take a look at the pictures to be sure.

These spots are most noticible in bright light when looking at the front. I'm sure thie makes the lens more prone to flaring and ghosting than with intact coating, but YMMV.
