Leica M mount Summicron 50mm f/2.0 lens v4, pristine condition Made in Germany

  
Listing is for a rather rare late model of the Version 4 (optically identical to the current one), with the tab and detachable hood. Lens is made in Germany, not that it matters particularly but this late run of Summicrons does have updated materials inside. Please study images for a report on the external condition, but basically the lens is pristine. If there is any mark it will be on the "nose" of the lens so to speak, where the hood grips the body.

Hard to avoid them even if you try to be honest. Glass is pristine with no cleaning marks or other blemishes, h.

Aze and fungus free, showing no signs of separation. There is very little dust, a small particle is visible in the 6th image. Focusing action is smooth with no slop or play whatsoever.

Aperture ring is very "clicky", for want of a better term. The aperture blades are completely free of shining marks or lubricant. 2 sample images taken with the lens are provided (taken on a Sony a7), the 1st at f/2.0 and the 2nd at f/5.6. Basically the lens is sharp from the get go and stays sharp till the very end of its aperture range.
