Known (rightly) as the Japanese Summicron, this is a difficult to find, excellent example of this fantastic, tiny canon lens for leica L39 thread mount. It can easily be adapted to M mount or any full frame/crop mirrorless digital camera. Build quality is excellent - they don't make'em like this anymore. I have used this lens on film and digital and it is rangefinder accurate on mine and extremely sharp for its vintage, still very good today. Optics are nice and clear besides some cleaning marks on the rear element which can only be seen clearly using a harsh light source at an angle (see included torture test images). These have very little if any effect on the pictures. Hard for me to part with this, but it's to fund another lens and as much as I'd like to be I'm not a 35mm guy, rather a 28mm. Condition (optics): Generally very clear, no oil on aperture blades, some slight cleaning marks on rear element (see images).
Condition (function): Smooth focusing and stop-down. Rangefinder accurate (on my cameras anyway).Year of Manufacture: Late 50's/1960's. Front and rear caps included.
