Canon 7 rangefinder + 50mm F1.8 lens EX condition, EX curtain. Leica M39 mount

  

Up for sale is the classic. Canon 7 rangefinder + 50mm F1.8 lens.

That I acquired in Japan. The body is in good condition with some scratches. The viewfinder is crystal clear. The lens mount is Leica M39. The lens is in good shape. Some coating degradation and dust can be seen under strong light, but I found the resulted image quality very good. I guess this is common with all vintage lenses.

Some brassing on top of the film rewind crank. The top of the viewfinder selector is deliberately brassed and polished by the previous owner (maybe because of brassing or just to add some characters). The curtain is in good shape, without much wrinkling - this is rare in Canon 7 and P cameras. There is only half of the case. Everything is working besides the light meter, which moves only a bit but not correctly according to the change of light.

I use this gem with my own light meter. I could have fixed the light meter with a solar panel (like the one on calculators) and some resistors, but I just never found it necessary to do so...
