Leitz Leica Canada Elmarit-M 28mm F2.8 Ver 1 With Red Markings. Early first version of the Canadian-made Elmarit 28mm F2.8 lens, dating from around 1964, with red markings rather than the standard yellow markings. The lens is in lovely clean condition apart from the focus lock, which has hardly any paint left on it (see pics) The glass is clean and free from scratches and fungus, the focus & aperture mechanisms are smooth and other than the mentioned paint loss to the switch, it only shows light signs of use, some of the red markings have faded, however they are still visible. The lens is complete with Leitz UVa filter, rear cap and 12501 lens hood.

A collectors lens, serial numbered 2197410. Serious offers will be considered.
